Directions from the M6

 

Exit at junction 33 and head south on the A6 towards Garstang. Take the 2nd left after the roundabout signed to Dolphinholme and Trough of Bowland. Follow the winding country lane for approximately ¾ of a mile and the Bay Horse Inn is on the right. Continue around a right-angle bend and after approximately 300ms Lowfield is on the left. There are stone eagles on the gate posts.

BUS

 From the north (Lancaster) Take the bus number 40,41 or 42 from Lancaster and exit at Bay Horse Crossroads (ask the driver to let you know). Walk towards Bay Horse Inn and Lowfield is situated on the right on Bay horse Lane.

 

From the South (Preston) Take the bus number 40,41 or 42 from Preston and exit at Bay Horse Crossroads (ask the driver to let you know). Walk towards Bay Horse Inn and Lowfield is situated on right hand side on Bay horse Lane.

 

Alternatively, there are taxis available from Lancaster day and night.

 

TRAINS

Lancaster is on the main west coast train line and has direct trains from London, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

 

AIR 

Manchester Airport has a train station with frequent services to Lancaster, then use bus directions (above.)
